What are the Inner Development Goals?

Inner Development Goals (IDGs) is a non-profit organization for inner development. They research, collect and communicate science-based skills and qualities that help us to live purposeful, sustainable, and productive lives.

The Inner Development Goals framework is fundamental in the work to reach the Sustainable Development Goals.

What is the hub?

Hubs or Networks are groups of people and/or organizations supporting the Inner Development Goals Initiative. You can find out more information on Hubs here.

When was it founded?

This particular hub was created in July 2023, so we're pretty new and we're based in the UK with the majority of our key partners in the South West.

We plan to start:

  • Bringing people together around collective exploration and action.

  • Learn, innovate, prototype, practice and share application of tools.

  • Create local events, action days or programs to support further activities within the Hub.

Who can join?

What do I get from it?

By joining this learning community, you will engage in meaningful dialogue for action and change. You will benefit from a diversity of perspectives, knowledge and skills to help you move forward with your own 'change' agenda. Over time we also intend to use this hub as a platform to showcase achievement, further learning, resources and opportunities linked to this work.

Who organises it?

The core team behind Wise Thinking Partners. You can find out more about them here and connect with them here.

How often do you meet and where?

IDG Framework

The IDGs framework consists of five dimensions organising 23 skills and qualities of human inner growth and development. The framework has been developed by a team of international researchers after an extensive outreach consultation involving more than a thousand people.  You can find out more about the IDGs and the initiative here.
